JUNIOR WARRANT WINNER!

On 24th August we went West Bromwich and Wednesbury where our beautiful puppy Waffle won Best AVNSC Puppy, Reserve Best of Breed and Puppy Group 1. Many thanks to George Clarke as this gave her that final point for her JUNIOR WARRANT at just 11 months of age. A Junior Warrant gives a Stud book and lifetime Crufts Qualification.
This means a lot to me, particularly as she is the Grandaughter of my beloved Gale (SH Ch Kavacanne Gift of the Gab) and Turtle (Sh Ch Toff Act To Follow). Both beautiful girls.
She is extra special as she was born not breathing and had to be resuscitated ( as did Gale). I did not intend to have another GSP for various reasons but I had an epiphany moment and despite family opposition I chose her anyway. I intended to have her for sentimental reasons and at that point in time I did not have anyone to show her, which was not a priority. However she just had something special about her so I was indebted to Gill Roden when she so kindly offered to take her in the ring and our the last 5 months has achieved so much with her. She has amassed 11 champ show wins, 4 Best Puppy Bitch, 3 Best Puppy in Breed, Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Breed Champ show and a Puppy Group win. Plus several wins, group places and RBPIS at Open Shows. At the half way stage she is currently Top GSP Puppy.
Those of you who know me will know I am quite sentimental and Fio Roberts (Isara Kurzhaar)played such an important part in mentoring us and letting is have our amazing brood bitch Gaby, Int Sh Ch Isara Kurzhaar Chatline of Kavacanne) and from which our successes have evolved. Waffle is my tribute to Fio in her kennel name Kavacanne at Karwendel which is a mountain range in the Alps and the Isar river runs through part of them. The village where Fio grew up in ( Mittenwald ) is at the foot of some of the mountains. Also Fio’s father Kurt Von Unruh who was an artist, painted them so they were very prevalent in her life.
I am so lucky to have not only Waffle who is a sweetheart but a very special friend in Gill for all they have achieved together.
My little brown dog has done pretty well so far considering all I said to the family was if She qualified for Crufts I would be happy so you can imagine how I am feeling right now 🙂
