Adam
Now 24,
Adam first began handling GSPs when he was 11. He qualified for the
Junior Handling Semi Finals at his first show and went from strength to
strength. After very many successes in breed and handling classes he had
an amazing year in 2001. with a hat trick of wins. Adam was named Young
Kennel Club Junior of the Year which is the highest accolade awarded to
a Junior Member. He had submitted a year long project of
fundraising for GSP Rescue and commitment to the Dog World. At Crufts he
then went on to become Show Handler of the Year and represented the Uk
in the International Finals making it to the final shortlist. He also
won the Young Kennel Club Gundog Stakes Final with Bailey and was a
local celebrity appearing on Central News, Shropshire Radio and in the
Local Press.
Over the
last few years he has successfully shown both his own dogs and other
exhibitors, handling to top awards, both in the UK and in Europe.
He is well established in his judging career for Handling and Breed,
winning several Ccs andd numerous awards both here and in Europe.
For 5 years he has been the key handler of Fio Robert's winning Isara
Kurzhaar Breeder Stakes team, placed 3rd at Crufts 2004 and qualified
every year including for 2008 when they were overall winners.He is a
Senior Member of the YKC Team and involved in all the YKC main events at
Crufts and YKC Camp.
Adam is
also an affiliate member of Birmingham National Dog show and is Chairman
of Oakengates Canine Society. He is currently on the GSPA and GSPC B
List an also on the GWPC Breed Specialist C List
Adam
still raises funds for GSP Rescue through his self designed website
www.gpointers.co.uk He has raised
over £3,500 to date.
Hannah
 
21 year old Hannah has been handling
dogs since she was just 8 years old. She started showing Miniature
Pinschers and then began to handle our own GSPs at Championship Show
level. Like Adam she qualified for the Junior Handling Semi Finals every
year, winning the working 12-16 years group, two years running. This
meant she competed in the Pedigree Masterfoods finals along with the
other 13 finalists. In January 2006 Hannah won this competition under
Top Breeder and Handler Liz Dunhill (handling a Doberman on this
occasion) and went on to represent the UK at Crufts, being shortlisted
into the final line up. She has developed into a very professional and
collected handler, regularly handling dogs for other people.Hannah won a Challenge Certificate with her own Min Pin, Flea in
2002 and went on to have a litter from her in 2004 producing Rooney (Karibaen
Stryker). Rooney had quite a successful show career winning BPIB under
breed specialist Brenda Cody in 2005 and CC and Best of Breed at midland
Counties 2005. Crufts 2005 was very successful for Hannah winning the
YKC working handling finals with Amber (Fantasa Flashdance) and winning
the YKC Gundogs Stakes Finals with our very own Pudding, this being the
equivalent of winning the Group for the YKC members.
Hannah
opened her own new Grooming Business....Rub A Dub Dog in 2005 which she
has built into a successful and viable business in Telford. Details

on this site. In 2008 Hannah was asked to join forces at the world
famous Fantasa Show Kennel owned by Liz Dunhill. In February 2008 Hannah
moved upto Nottingham to spread her wings and gain further experience in
the wonderful world of dogs. She is part of the Fantasa Team Vormund and
is grooming, show handling and much more alongside Liz. Hannah is part
of Liz Dunhill exciting new venture the Dog Show Whisperer (
www.dogshowwhisperer.com ) She is also a member of the member and
has now started her judging career for Breed and Handling. She is on the
Min Pin Club 'C' List.. and also the 'C' list for the GSPA and the GSPC
and also the GWPC.
Heather
Heather
is 20 years old and began handling at 7 years old, hot in the footsteps
of her siblings and qualified for the Richmond semi finals every
year since she started exhibiting dogs.

She
progressed from GSPs to own her first German Wirehaired Pointer, Star.
She enjoyed much success with Star and handled her at Crufts for the 3
consecutive years. In 2004 Heather proudly took
Shim (Stars daughter) to win the Reserve Challenge Certificate at the
GWP Champ show. She also had an amazing year in the handling with
Shim winning many many times and qualifying for the Crufts Handling
Finals in 2005. In 2004 she raised over £1000 for Hilbrae Dogs Home and
GWP Charitable Rescue and was named Gold Medal Winner for her age in the
YKC Junior of the Year award. Another highlight of 2004 was to win the
CACIB, CAC and get shortlisted in the group at Brussels Dog Show
with Fio Roberts Isara Kurzhaar Applewine of Thorjon. Heather was also
placed 4th in her first European handling competition and returned
to the UK with an armful of trophies.
At Crufts
2005, Heather was placed a creditable 3rd in the YKC Handling Finals on
Gundog day and took reserve place with Shim in her breed class.
Heather
and Shims success is continuing with the winning of Shims second Reserve
Challenge Certificate under Brenda Banbury at Paignton in July 2005.
Heather also qualified for the YKC Handling Finals at Crufts in 2006
by winning at East of England. This time however, Heather handled Bart,
a GSP owned and loved by Nicky Hamlin.
At the
end of 2005 Heather and Shim took part in the European Dog Shows at
Kortrijk and Amsterdam with Shim winning the CAC and CACIB at both
shows.Heather handled Shim in the breed at Crufts 2006 and also the YKC
Stakes Gundog Finals winning 2nd and 3rd places. In 2006 Heather
and Shim have continued to win both breed and handling classes at many
Championship Shows. Shim will compete for the 3rd successive year in the
YKC Gundog Stakes Finals at Crufts 2007 and Heather in the Handling
Finals. Heather also won the Richmond Semi Finals 2006 and competed
at the prestigious Pedigree Masterfoods Finals in January 2007. She was
placed a very close Runner Up by Judge: John Thirlwell who commented
that the only reason she did not win was that the 2nd dog she was given
to show did not challenge her enough! She won the Semi Finals at
Richmond 2007 and qualified for the Finals in 2008 which was last event as a Junior Handler. She was placed Reserve in a Highly
Competitive class.
Heather
is on both the GSPA ,GSPC GWPC (breed specialist) 'C' judging lists and also West Mercia Beagle
Club 'C' list. She is the Secretary for Oakengates Canine Society
and has previously been Fundraising Coordinator for the German Wirehaired Pointer Club.
In 2007
she bred her first GWP litter from Shim and In 2007/8 began
campaigning her new young Wire, Xanto who has 2CCs to date.
